
Miguel Carvalhais
Miguel Carvalhais is a Professor of Design and the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, and a researcher at i2ADS, Research Institute in Art, Design and Society. He is the author of two books on computational art, design, and aesthetics, “Art and Computation” (2022, V2_) and “Artificial Aesthetics” (2016, U. Porto Press). As a designer, musician, and artist, he works across the fields of sound art, performance, and installation, regularly collaborating with Pedro Tudela on the @c project. Since 2003 he directs the experimental music and sound art label Crónica, and since 2013, the xCoAx conference on computation, communication, aesthetics, and x). http://carvalhais.org
