Sara Orsi

Sara Orsi is a web designer, creative coder, researcher, and educator focused on the intersection of digital technology and contemporary culture. Since 2014, she has been running her studio, Sara Orsi – Web & Research, and currently she teaches at the School of Innovation and Creation Technologies (ETIC) and at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL). In parallel, Orsi develops her own artistic practice, transforming everyday technologies into critical artefacts that question their roles in society. She was a co-founder of Arquivo 237 (2013–2018), a Lisbon cultural space dedicated to architecture, design, and technology, where she organized exhibitions, workshops, talks, and artistic residencies. Orsi holds a degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Porto (FAUP), and a master’s in Communication Design and New Media from FBAUL, completed with the dissertation “From Archive to the New: Impacts of Digital Technology on the Storage and Dissemination of Information in Contemporary Culture.” Since 2022, she has been a PhD student in Digital Media at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA).
